Pre-construction Preparation

Surface Preparation: Clean the work area to remove surface oil, moss, loose concrete, and other debris. Use a chisel or wire brush to clean the vicinity of the cracks to ensure
the substrate is solid.

Drilling and Hole Cleaning

Hole Layout and Positioning: Carefully locate all leakage points (such as cracks, construction joints, and honeycombs). Arrange injection holes in a staggered pattern
along both sides of the crack, approximately 3–5 cm away from it. Drilling: Using an electric drill (typically fitted with a 10 mm or 14 mm bit), drill into the
structure at a 45° angle to the substrate, ensuring the hole intersects the crack. The
drilling depth should be 1/2 to 2/3 of the structural thickness; drilling through the back side
of the structure is strictly prohibited. The spacing between holes should generally be
controlled within 20–30 cm (closer spacing is required for severe leakage). Hole Cleaning: Flush the drilled holes with high-pressure air or clean water to remove
concrete dust and debris, ensuring unobstructed channels.

. Packer Installation

Insert the packers into the drilled holes and tighten them using a T-handle wrench (or hexwrench) until the rubber sealing ring at the front end expands and forms a tight fit againstthe hole walls, ensuring the packer is secure and leak-free. Optional but Recommended: Apply a strip of rapid-setting plugging mortar along the
surface of the crack to create a sealing band. This prevents excessive grout leakage from
the crack opening during the injection process.

Trusted Excellence

Procedure:

Equipment Inspection:

Start the grouting machine and gradually increase the pressure. Monitor the pressure gauge. When grout overflows from an adjacent packer, or when the
pressure stabilizes at a high value (e.g., 0.3–0.8 MPa) without dropping, maintain the
pressure for 1–3 minutes to ensure the voids are completely filled. Close the valve on the current packer and move to the next hole to continue the injection. Secondary Grouting: After completing the initial grouting across all holes, perform a
secondary top-up injection on key locations after a set period (e.g., half an hour) to
compensate for shrinkage during grout curing.
